Realtime Data Visualization on SK-XC161/164/167 evaluation board
View a graphical output of data transmitted in real time from the evaluation board to your webbrowser. Press the boards NMI button to alter the transmitted data and see the result at the moment. Please note that your web browser has to support a java virtual machine (JDK standard 1.1 or higher). You can get java plugins for the most common webbrowsers at: http://java.sun.com.
Following evaluation boards are suitable for this demo:
- SK-XC161CJ (stepping AB testet)
- SK-XC164CS (stepping AA and AB testet)
- SK-XC167CI (stepping AB testet)
The PCs supported operating systems are:
- Windows XP
- Windows 2000
- Windows ME
- Windows 98
If yor PC runs at Windows98 or WindowsME you will have to install a special modem driver (nullmodem_dial_up.inf) delivered with this example. This driver enables Windows98 or ME to establish PPP connections using a serial COM port.
How to prepare the demo
First connect ASC0 of the evaluation board to a free COM port of the PC where the boards tools are installed. This COM port will be used to flash the demo code and establish the PPP/TCP connection between PC and board. The cable you can use is a standard modem cable.
If you want to see the webservers debug output connect ASC1 to another free COM port (same PC or any other) and copy a tty-terminal programm (for instance MTTTY) onto this PC. Start the tty-terminal, setup the connection settings (57600Bd, no parity, 8data bits, 1 stop bit, no flow control, disable DTR/RTS) and establish a connection (in MTTTY press the Connect button).
At second setup the evaluation boards jumper and DIP-switches as follows:

Now follow the installation manual for the demo and flash SK_XC161_WEBSERVDEMO_PcDial_57600bd.H86 using Infineon Memtool via ASC0. Please note after flashing the demo code do not forget to switch S101-1 to OFF and to press the reset button.
Realtime data transmission state is signaled by LED P9_4.
